Why isn’t the apocrypha in the canon of Scripture?
- They never claim inspiration for themselves
- Some of their teaching is heretical
- They were never sanctioned by the early church leaders
- They were never allowed a place in the canon for the first four centuries after Christ
- Books in the apocrypha not only contradict the Bible, but they also contradict each other
- The quality of the apocrypha is far below that of the bible, even to the point of occasionally teaching immorality
- The books of the apocrypha were never received by the people of God
What is the apocrypha?
Books written between the Old and New Testament

What part of Scripture did Christ authenticate and or pre-authenticate
- The three Old Testament sections of Scripture Were authenticated by Christ in Luke 24:44; Christ approved the Old Testament canon; Quotations of the Old Testament by Christ show His approval of the canon
- He also pre-authenticated the New Testament by promises that he made to the apostles; the apostles were aware that God was giving them

Yes
