Q

Moses

A

Exodus 1 (Birth of Moses)-Deuteronomy 34 (Death and end of ministry). Moses was the great revered prophet of the Old Testament. He was born into a time where his people, the Hebrews, were slaves under Pharaoh’s command in Egypt. His mother hid him in order to escape Pharaoh’s command that all Hebrews male babies be killed. In response to Israel’s ‘groaning’ and cries for help (Ex. 2:24), God raised up Moses to lead Israel out of slavery into a land promised to them. In response to many crushing plagues, Pharaoh relents and lets Israel go. God would later give Moses the Law and establish him as their leader and prophet.
