The Persons Case
Legally, women were not considered persons, so the Alberta 5 (Nellie McClung, Louise McKinney, Irene Parlby, and Henrietta Muir), went to court to change this. This made women persons, legally.

Relief camps housed young unemployed men. Pay was low, conditions were bad, led to the On-To-Ottawa-Trek and the Regina Riot

Winnipeg General Strike
Workers wanted better working hours, better pay, better job security, and improved housing. 30k protesters went out to strike. Government was scared of Communist underpinnings, militia was sent in to break up the strike. 2 people died known as ‘Bloody Saturday’.
On-to-Ottawa Trek
Thousands of men working in relief camps were fed up with their low pay, and bad working conditions decided to go to Ottawa to speak with RB Bennet. They were stopped in Regina where a riot broke out
