BEP-0 Flashcards
What is adverse containment?
Containment pressure >=5 psig
or
1AR-20 or 21 >=10^5 R/hr
How do we verify reactor tripped?
Rod bottom lights - ALL LIT
Reactor trip and bypass breakers
- OPEN
Neutron flux - DROPPING
What do we do if reactor is not tripped?
Manually trip the Reactor:
● 1PM05J
● 1PM06J
IF PR channels are greater
than 5%
OR IR SUR is positive,
THEN GO TO 1BFR-S.1, RESPONSE
TO NUCLEAR POWER
GENERATION/ATWS, Step 1.
How do we verify turbine tripped?
All Turbine throttle valves -
CLOSED
All Turbine governor valves -
CLOSED
What do we do if turbine not tripped?
Manually trip the turbine:
o Trip pushbutton
o OWS panel G-5512
IF any throttle AND any
governor valve are open,
THEN isolate the steam
supply:
Manually run back the
turbine at maximum rate at
OWS panel G-5501:
o
1) Select turbine MANUAL.
2) Select RAPID.
3) Select and hold GV
lower arrow.
o Manually actuate Main
Steamline Isolation AND
verify MSIV bypass valves
are CLOSED.
How do we verify AC busses are energized? What do we do if none are energized? What do we do if only one energized?
ESF busses - AT LEAST ONE
ENERGIZED:
o Bus 141
o Bus 142
a. GO TO 1BCA-0.0, LOSS OF
ALL AC POWER, Step 1.
WHEN time permits,
THEN try to restore power
to deenergized ESF bus per
1BOA ELEC-3, LOSS OF 4KV
ESF BUS.
What do we look at to determine if SI is actuated? What do we do if SI not required?
SI permissive light actuated
Any SI first out
Any SI equipment auto actuated
Either 8801a/b open
Look at PZR pressure, steamline pressure, cnmt pressure and determine if required. Otherwise go to BEP ES0.1.
