Name the five roots of Shi’a Islam
1- Tawhid means God is One, God is not made up of different persons
2- Prophethood means accepting that Muhammad is the last true prophet
3- God is just and wise, cannot do wrong, and holds humans accountable for their actions
4- the Imamate means accepting that the twelve Imams are the leaders of Islam and guard the truth of the religion without error
5- After death they will be resurrected and judged by God

God knows or determines everything that will happen in the universe
What is the difference between Shi’a and Sunni views on predestination?
Many Shi’a Muslims believe God knows everything that is going to happen but this does not mean he decides what is going to happen, meaning people still have free will, so they can make their own choices.
However, many Sunni Muslims believe that God has already determined everything that will happen in the universe. He has written down all that will happen in the ‘book of decrees’.
Akhira
Everlasting life after death, the belief that death is not the end but the beginning of a new stage of life.
Resurrection
Rising from the dead or returning to life.
Heaven
The state of eternal happiness in the presence of God; also called paradise

A person considered to be a political and religious successor to Muhammad, and the leader of the Sunni Muslim community

1- a person who leads communal prayer
