What does the ‘nature’ of God mean?
This means God’s characteristics, his attributes, his qualities.
What do Christians believe about the nature of God?
Christians believe that God is outside time and space, he is transcendent and eternal.
They believe that God is omnipotent (all-powerful) and omniscient (all-knowing).
Christians also believe that God is omnibenevolent (all-good and all-loving): this means he wants the best for people and gives them rules to live by.
What is analogy?
Using a word symbolically to suggest something else.
Who is a Monotheist?
A person that believes in one God
Examples are Muslims, Jews and Christians
What is a myth?
A story that is not factually true, but has important spiritual truths.
What is a symbol?
A way of explaining the unexplainable, and using something to represent something else.
