The superego forms around
the age of four years old and gives the child’s sense of right
and wrong as well as their ideal self. It trys to civilise our behaviour and is learned through
identification with the same sex parents.

The id-dominant personality is selfish
greedy and demands immediate gratification. This can result in impulsive
behaviour such as stealing. so this give criminal like values and would result in a weak superego. A weak superego means low moral control and criminal behaviour is more likely to occur.
