- Consider family and environmental context e.g. when, where
A: Antecedent - What is the cause or trigger? - When, where? - When, where did it start happening? B: Behaviour - What exactly happens? - Is it developmentally appropriate? - What are the parent/teacher expectations? - Are they reasonable? - One or # of problematic behaviours? C: Consequences - What happens after? - What are the effects on the child and those around them? - How is it affecting function?
- Explore the impact of the behaviour
- Child, family, friends, teachers
- Review of ‘other behaviours’:
- Eat
- Sleep
- Play
