How did you handle a difficult situation with a co-worker?

Answer 1

1. Talk to person. Listen and try to understand the person’s point of view.
2. Apologize if appropriate.
3. Figure out if any changes can and should be made.
4. If that doesn’t work, talk to a close co-worker. Get ideas. See if that person can talk to the person, or see if the three of you can talk.
5. If that doesn’t work, talk to your manager. Let the manager decide what should be done.
