Q

What is your biggest weakness?

A

Get impatient with projects run beyond deadline
“My greatest weakness is that I get impatient when projects run past the deadline. I’m a stickler for due dates and get uncomfortable when work is not completed on time. To avoid this, I’ve started being more proactive and paying attention to how I’m reacting to make sure I’m being motivational and helping foster efficiency.”

I can have trouble asking for help. Because I am independent and enjoy working quickly, it has been difficult for me to ask for help when I need it. I have learned that it is much more beneficial both for me and the business to reach out when I do not understand something or feel burned out with my workload. I also understand that many experts around me have specific knowledge and skills that can make my work better. While I am still working on it, I have been able to produce more high-quality work as a result of getting help from those around me.”

  • In 5 years, I still plan to be working for you. I envision having developed considerably as an leader in the industry by honing my skills on the job as well as continuing to self-educate and stay abreast of market trends and tech.
  • In 5 years from now, I want to be a respected, trusted and high-performing member of the team, and perhaps even having gained advancement to a more senior level.

Q

Explain a time when you experienced conflict with someone at work or had to take over a project?

A

While i am someone who works hard to avoid any form of conflict or negativity, there are times as to embace it as a leader in order to move things forward positively. One particularly engagement, my team were dealing a very difficult and vocally aggressive client. She was the head of a one of the lines of businesses we needed to support in our enterprise solution. However, it has been a pattern for this client to challenge timelines, design patterns, process recommendations, everything at every step. I proposed to create additional workshop sessions catering specifically to her team and made sure we got approval as a pre-approval step before our JAD sessions. Client was happy and we were able to eliminate delays.

Net is, I would always tackle confrontation or conflict in a calm, confident and resolute manner and I would always put the organziation at the forefront of everything I do.
