A

Hopps - bitterness and aroma
Water - beer is 90% water
Yeast - ale and lager yeast, determines style of beer and concerts fermented sugar into alcohol

A

A

Main flavour from hops and herbal, citrus or fruity flavours.
Wide range, can be citrusy, or strong and bitter

A

A

Lager - crisp, clean, low hopps

Pilsner - hoppier lager

Wheat beer - “blondes”, light and citrusy

Amber - aka “red”, amber in colour, sweetness from caramelization, more Malty.

Pale ale - very diverse in colour and taste

India pale ale - hoppy/bitter, commonly citrusy, more complex tastes

Stout - dark in colour from roasting the barley
