Explain the check-off program.
The checkoff is a producer-funded marketing and research program designed to increase domestic and/or international demand for beef. This can be done through promotion, research and new product development, and a variety of other marketing tools. The Cattlemen’s Beef Board and USDA oversee the collection and spending of checkoff funds.

Are family farms being replaced with cooperation farms?
No, today 98% of farms are family farms. Cooperation Farms are only 2% of farms in the Untied States.
How can you feel good about raising animals and then sending them off to harvest?
You are raising animals in order to feed the world. If it wasn’t for farmer/ranchers we would not be able to survive.
How do cattle help our environment?
They graze on foodstuffs that help to clear debris from range-lands and hillsides, keeping it free of the fuel that feeds wildfire. Where cattle graze, wildlife and waterfowl thrive.
