A family whose living members come from many generations but with very few members in each generation.

What are the problems with the effect of beanpole families on children?
Children are growing up faster
Children become isolated and therefore adopt a more selfish attitude towards life
Lack of companionship
What is a sandwich generation?
People between the ages of 40-60 look after their children financially and their elderly relatives ( parents) who need looking after.
What are boomerang children?
Children who leave home and only return after their marriage breaks down (divorce) or when a long-term relationship ends.
Why are beanpole families more damaging to women potentially?
Women still expected to carry out senior/ high positions at work and still carry out all caring responsibilities of a mother.
Increased women working.
