16
Q

what is the only aspect that should contact the vibrator?

A

HANDLE (not the wax – it will separate)

17
Q

how to prevent air bubbles/ air traps when pouring

A

fill from one corner and vibrate the plaster forward in a circular pattern

18
Q

how much do you fill base?

A

approx. 1/2 inch thickness

19
Q

how long do you have to separate impression?

steps?

A

within 20 minutes if alginate
remove all beading and boxing and then summerse entire cast in HOT water until the compound softens - then carefully separate

20
Q

goals/ measurements of trimming?

A

create a 3mm wide land and create a 1cm (1/2 inch) thick base

if over trim – you could have missing folds in your cast

if too thick of base – will not fit in the processing flask

21
Q

what do you trim first? second?

A

base to 1 cm (1/2 inch thicknes which is also 10mm)

then side of land to 3mm
