Calcium Gluconanate
Can be used in crush injuries
2g over 2 mins
For Dialyiss with hypotension and peaked T waves and QRS>.12sec
1g over 5-10 minutes
For PEA and suspected Calcium Channel Blocker OD
1gram IVP

IV for effect up to 250ml BGL < than 60mg/dl Newborn = 2.5ml/kg <2YO=5ml/kg >2Yo=10ml/kg up to 250 ml

Infusion 2-10mcg/min
Cardiac Arrest
1mg Q3-5 min
As Vasopressor
IVP: 5-20mcg Q3-5 min Iv push after Sailine Bolus. Saline bolus size will depend on if it is cardiac and trauma related.
Infusion: 2-10mcg/min
To mix infusion
Mix 1ml of 1:1,000 with 100ML of NS (12-60 ml/hr)
Use 60 drop set
2mcg/min = 12ml/hr 3mcg/min = 18ml/hr 4mcg/min = 24ml/hr 5mcg/min = 30ml/hr 6mcg/min = 36ml/hr 7mcg/min = 42ml/hr 8mcg/min = 48ml/hr 9mcg/min = 54ml/hr 10mcg/min = 60ml/hr
To mix pressor bolus
Mix 1ml of Epi 1:1,000 with 100ml of NS.
20 mcg = 2ml
Etomidate
(Amidate)
Induction agent for RSI
.3mg/KG IV/IO
Fentanyl Citrate
(Sublimaze)
1mcg/kg with a max of 50mcg
Repeat every 5minutes
Max Dose of 200mcg
Should be given at every dose of long acting sedation.
Glucagon
(GlucaGen)
Hypoglycemia only if no vascular access
Adults 1mg SC/IV/IM
Repeat once in 15 minutes
Peds
0.1mg/kg up to 1 mg
For PEA Arrest and possible beta blocker overdose
