Bayesian 2 Flashcards
Sequential analysis
you can keep looking at the data because of the updating factor. In normal hypothesis testing this increases you’re type I error. With Bayesian you can look at a plot of how BF evolves as we accumulate knowledge.
Uniform prior distributions
Uninformative prior, one line.
Domain
Prior distribution is on the same domain as the parameter of interest. For a proportion it’s between 0 and 1. Correlation between -1 and 1 and means till infinity.
Stretched Beta Distribution
Data had been stretched on the same domain as the parameter.
Truncated stretched beta distribution
one sided hypothesis stretched distribution
Delta (Cohen’s d)
Differences between groups; a standardized difference between groups. Goes 0 to 2. Used with a T-test.
