Basics Law Flashcards
What is Force?
Force is a push or pull acting o an object.
What are the main forces that act upon our daily lives?
Friction, Gravity, Aerodynamics, Applyed Force.
What is Acceleration?
A change in an object’s motion, like skateboard speeding up, is called acceleration.
What is Newtons First Law? What does it mean?
Newtons first law is the Law of Inertia, stating that an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
What is Net Force
Net force is the vector sum of all the forces acting on an object. If the forces are balanced and not moving. If the forces are unbalanced, the net force is not zero, and the object is in motion
What is the relationship between mass, force and accleration? Which law is that.
Dependign on how much force is applied and how much mass it has, it will have more or less acceleration. More mass, less acceleration, more force, more aceleration.
Which law does a rocketlaunching represent? Why?
Newwtons third law, ecause when the fuel comes out of the rocket, it has an equal an opposite reaction launchign the rocket up, while the fuel goes down.
What key terms do you have to include in the definition of Newtons third law?
EQUAL and OPPOSITE reaction.
What is the formula of Newtons second law? What does it represent?
F= ma, meaning net force equal mass times acceleration.
What is an example of Newtons 1st Law?
A table coth being pulled with enough force that it doesnt knowck down the cups ontop of it, which have inertia.
What is an example of Newtons 2nd Law?
Two different objects beig [ushed with the same force, one will move faster dependin on how much mass it has.
What is an example of Newtons 3rd law?
A rocket being launched.
What would hapen if friction didnt exist?
If friction didn’t exist, an object in motion would stay in motion forever.
What is aerodynamics?
A force caused by air that slows objects down.
True or False: An object doesnt move when the forces acting upon it are equal.
True
