Incorporates use of arms to overcome obstacle
Parkour Roll
Similar to roll used in grappling martial arts.
Body rolled across ground, shoulder first
Ends @ opposite hip
Cat Pass/Monkey/Kong Vault
A vault
Where body passes over obstacles w/legs in b/t arms
One of the most versatile vaults
Excellent for clearing long/high objects & getting extra distance
Two-Handed Vault
Two hands placed on obstacle
Legs come over to side.
Very simple fault
Often used to introduce beginners to some of more advanced vaults
Single-Hand Vault
Same as 2-handed
Only one hand placed on obstacle
Speed Vault
Var. of single-hand vault Key = speed Similar form With body leaning sideways Hand taps obstacle as you go over
Arm Jump/Cat Jump
Jump
Land w/hands on top of obstacle & feet on obstacle
Precision Jump
Jump
Land on precise surface (rail/wall ledge)
Standing broad jump technique
Both legs jump together
Arms swing forward to initiate forward momentum
Gap jump
Jump
Clears gap b/t 2 objects
Wall Pass
Run toward wall
Covert forward momentum into jump
Involves taking 1+ running steps up vertical surface
Catch on top w/hands to pull up/onto/over obstacle.
Wall Run
Run along top of wall
Tic Tac
Push off of 1 object w/foot
To gain height/reverse momentum
To overcome another obstacle
Lazy Vault
Type of vault Obstacle is approached obliquely Legs pass over obstacle first 1-2 hands can be used Placed on obstacle as body passes over it
Reverse Vault
Vault
Body turns over behind hands
Complete 360 over obstacle
Dash vault
Vault Jump over obstacle Put hands down As legs pass obstacle To help w/pushing off
