Basics Flashcards
What is the reference angle
Always between zero and 90°
Angle starts from X axis and origin into any quadrant
Example the reference angle for 170° is 10°
Find a positive and negative coterminal angle
Just add +/-360°
Or
+/- 2*pi
How do you convert degrees to radians
Just multiply by pi / 180
How do you convert from radians to degrees
Just multiply by 180 / pi
Right triangle ratio for sin
=O/H
Right triangle ratio for cos
=A/H
Right triangle ratio for tan
=O/A
Right triangle ratio for CSC
=H/O
Just think 1/sin
Right triangle ratio for SEC
=H/A
Just think 1/cos
Right triangle ratio for COT
=A/O
