during ifpt
what happens during exercise blue warrior
it happens at Bramley camp. it is used to confirm recruits can utilise basic for protection skills.
what else do you learn in ifpt
law of armed conflict, this involves the use of international humanitarian laws which are a set of rules designed to limit the effects of armed conflict and protect civilians and combatants who are no longer taking part in hostilities
what is air power
the ability to use air capabilities in and from the air to influence the behaviour of actors and the course of events. it is used to effect decision making.
weapons technician training
takes place at RAF COSFORD
what is the proper name for weapons technician
engineering technician weapon.
what happens in trade training
taught the explosive safety requirements and the maintenance and repair skills of aircraft weapon, launching and escape systems. it is a 12 month course.
when do you go on first tour
after trade training, during phase 3
what could your tour look like?
probably join a flying squadron at an RAF base working with experienced technicians to enhance my skills

to defend the air space, prevent conflict, provide humanitarian support and supporting the governments foreign policy. which involves intelligence gathering, surveillance and reconnaissance.

passing out parade for recruits and awards are given this represents the successful completion of basic training. it is followed by a church service and lunch to welcome you and families to the RAF.
