A

- No tracts are entered
- No break in asepsis
- E.g., castrations and spays

A
- A clean procedure where a minor break in asepsis or drain is placed
- E.g., laparoscopic, gastrointestinal and respiratory surgeries

A
- Open, fresh traumatic wound without purulent discharge
- Procedures in which spillage of GT contents or infected urine
- Major break in aseptic technique
- E.g., Leg injury without pus

- Perforated viscus or faecal contamination
