Signal Communication

Visual Signals

Sound Signals
A group of radio stations operating on the same frequency.
Radio Net
A combination of characters (letters and numbers) used to identify radio stations.
Call Sign
Identifies all stations in a particular network.
Net Call Sign
Identifies a specific station within a network.
Individual Call Sign
Identifies two or more stations within a network.
Collective Call Sign
Indicates a separation between parts of a message.
Break
Confirms accuracy.
Correct
Repeating a message for confirmation.
I Read Back
Repeating transmission.
I Say Again
End of transmission, expecting a response.
Over
End of transmission, no response needed.
Out
Message received.
