How is igneous rock formed
A
If the magma gets above ground it’s called lava, and cools quickly, making tiny crystals. This is extrusive igneous
If the magma cools underground, cools slowly making large crystals. This is known as instrusive igneous

How is sedimentary rock formed
A
Small particles of rock or dead plants and animals are deposited under the sea as sediment which builds up in layers and squeezed into a rock

How is metamorphic rock formed
A
Will have previously been other rocks but have been changed by extreme heat or pressure
