Articulation(Diction, Pronunciation, Enunciation- The way you pronounce words
Inflection- change of pitch or tone
Projection- placement of the voice that is understood

Filler Words- small sounds or words used to fill pauses in speech
Rate- speed, pause, word grouping
Volume- the loudness or softness of your voice
Eye Contact- shows self confidence, honesty, respect

Methods of Delivering a Speech
Extemporaneous- planned and rehearsed but the words are chosen at the moment of deliverance
Manuscript- reading a speech word for word
Impromptu- spur of the moment, no preparation
Memorized- reading a speech word for word without reading it

Rules of Good Outline Writing
Topic Outline- Word or phrase
Sentence Outline- a sentence
Organize your thoughts
The outline must have a topic capitalized and not marked with Roman numerals
No lone topics
Don’t use words introduction, body, and conclusion in outline
The outline must be grammatically parallel, and topics have to be the same part of speech
No punctuation in a topic outline
