What does the color blue mean on a map?
Identifies hydrography or water features such as lakes, swamps, rivers, and drainage.
What does the color green mean on a map?
Identifies vegetation with military significance, such as woods, orchards, and vineyards.
What does the color black mean on a map?
Cultural (Man made) feature.
What are the Three North’s on a military map?
True north, magnetic north, and grid north.
What are the Two Supplemental Terrain Features?
Cut and Fill.
What are the Five Major Terrain Features?
Hill, Ridge, Valley, Saddle, and Depression.
List the degree of accuracy associated with the grid coordinate with Four-Digits.
