Pulse amplitude
What are the 8 pulse types?
Rectangular Square Saw tooth Multipulse Cosine squared Exponential Stepped Bandwidth limited
Define PRI?
The interval between pulses from leading edge to leading edge.
Define PRI?
The number of pulses generated by a radar in one second.
Define range resolution?
A radars ability to discriminate between 2 targets.
Define pulse duration?
The actual time a radar is transmitting measured in Us.
Define minimum range?
The minimum range from a radar that a target can be detected.
Define radar kilometre?
The time it takes a transmitted pulse to travel 1 kilometre and back.
Define Doppler shift?
The difference between a transmitted frequency and a received frequency.
Define SSR?
An interrogator sends out a signal that is received by a transponder. The transponder may reply to determine if it’s friendly.
What are the 6 types of inter pulse modulation?
Stagger Dwell and switch Jitter Pulse frequency modulation Sliding Multipulse
What are the advantages of inter pulse modulation?
Eliminates second time round echoes Extends MTI blind speeds Reduces mutual interference Extends MTUR EPM feature
