How do you know if a sentence is in the past tense?

Answer 1

if the verb has the word ki in it
e.g
Na lambaki lobi = I cooked yesterday
If the verb ends in an a in its infinitive i.e Kolinga, remove the ko and add ki to the end

Question 2

How do you know if a sentence is in the present tense?

Answer 2

If it has the word zali before the verb(means am, is and are)
e.g
Nazali kolamba lelo= I cooked today
if the verb ends in an a, change the a to an I

Question 3

How do you know if a sentence is in the future?

Answer 3

Before the verb, they will be the word ko before it e.g
Bako kende musala = they will go to work
if the verb ends in an a, only remove the ko at the start
