Verb
Refers to actions (things we do) and states of being (how things are). Ex. Eat, the words describe, and rotate)
Modifies or describe a noun or pronoun (young, long, pretty, blue,)
Adjective
Adverb
Modifies or describe a verb, an adjective, or another adverb (almost, very, slowly, quietly, warmly, sadly)
Preposition
A word placed before a noun or pronoun to form a phrase modifying another word in the sentence to show direction, time, place, location, spatial relationships or to introduce an object ( in, at, on, of, from and to)
Conjunction
Joins words, phrases, or clauses (and, but, or, while, because)
Used to express emotions (oh! Uh-oh, this looks bad, Wow!… Oops!
