MLB OPS:
Less than .735 = Poor
Between .735 and .800 = Average
Greater than .800 = Good

Good WHIP?
What is OPS?
On-base Percentage plus Slugging(OPS) adds on-base percentage and slugging percentage to get one number that unites the two. It’s meant to combine how well a hitter can reach base, with how well he can hit for average and for power.
What is OBP?
On Base Percentage(OBP) is the number of times a player reaches base via a hit, hit by pitch or walk, and not including errors or Fielder’s Choice, divided by number of ‘At Bats’ expressed as a 3 digit decimal number. Sacrifice bunts are not counted at all in the ‘At Bats’.
Good Slugging Percentage?
MLB Slugging Percentage:
Less than .350 = Poor
Between .350 and .450 = Average
Between .450 and .550 = Good
Between .550 and .650 = Outstanding
Greater than .650 = Elite
Good Batting Average
MLB Batting Average:
Less than .250 = Poor
Between .250 and .300 = Average
Greater than .300 = Good

What is Batting Average?
A player’s hits divided by their ‘At Bats’ expressed as a 3 digit decimal number.
What is WHIP?
Walks, Hits, Innings Pitched (WHIP) is the sum of a pitcher’s walks and hits, divided by his total innings pitched. Hit batsmen, errors and hitters who reach via fielder’s choice do not count against a pitcher’s WHIP.

What is Slugging Percentage in baseball?
Total number of BASES a player reaches via a hit divided by number of ‘At Bats’ expressed as a 3 digit decimal number. Single = 1 base, doubles = 2 bases, triples = 3 bases and homers = 4 bases.
What is ERA?
Earned Run Average(ERA) is calculated as: 9 times Earned Runs divided by innings pitched. It is used to evaluate pitchers.
