We must be a born again Christian

Our new birth in Christ gives us the capacity and ability by the Holy Spirit to understand God’s Word.

We must accept the divine authority of the Scripture.

It is our duty to accept all sixty-six Books as the very inerrant, infallible, inspired Word of God. Our goals is to learn and obey the Bible.
( John 17:17; 2 Tim 3-16-17; 2 Pet 1:20-21)

We must follow the inductive method of study in relation to theology.

This method starts with the Scripture then formulates doctrinal statements from them. The basis of truth will come from the Bible not other books. We teach from the specific to the general. ( Acts 17:11; 2 Tim 2:15; 1 John 2:20;27)

Question 4

We must seek to grasp and understand all the subjects that the Bible teaches and all the Bible teaches about each subject We must become lifelong learners about each subject.

Answer 4

As we study the basic doctrine of the faith we will experience spiritual growth and convictions about the Bible. Our belief system will grow and our behavior will be transformed.
(Acts 20:27; 2 Pet, 3:18; 2 Cor 5:17)
