1 in 10 people live in poverty impacting their ability to afford essentials like nutritious food, healthcare, and housing
steady employment= more likely to be healthy but other SODH make it difficult for some to find/keep a job
employers often fail to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities or other health conditions
Education access and quality
people with higher levels of education= more likely to be healthier and live longer
other SODH barriers make it difficult for some to access quality education
Health care access and quality
1 in 10 people in the United States don’t have health insurance
no health insurance= less likely to have a primary care provider, access preventative healthcare and needed medications
