Who is Banquo?
A Scottish nobleman who, like Macbeth, impresses people with his bravery in battle
What happens when he is with Macbeth, when they meet the three Weird Sisters?
The Weird Sisters prophesise that he will not be king, but his sons will be
How does Banquo react to the prophecies?
He is much more sceptical than Macbeth, and believes the Weird Sisters are betraying them both
How is Banquo different to Macbeth?
He is the complete opposite, being honourable despite temptation
Why does Macbeth have Banquo murdered?
Because he is worried that Banquo suspects that he killed Duncan
