A diet which ensures that an animal receives the correct nutrients in the appropriate quantities

~Fat soluble- vitamins are dissolved into lipid molecules that are absorbed into the bloodstream during the main point of digestion (intestines)

~water soluble- vitamins are dissolved into water and carried through the bodies tissues
Vitamins absorbed= b1,b2,b12,c

~provides a variety of textures and shapes
~can be natural/fresh food
