What is the Current Ratio?
Current Assets / Current Liabilities
Ability to pay short term obligations- 1.5 or better is good
What is Quick Ratio?
Current Assets - Inventories / Current Liabilities
What are current assets
Cash, A/R (within 12 months), negotiable securities (easily sell to obtain cash), inventories
What are current liabilities?
A/P, wages, interest within a year due on outstanding loans.
What is owner’s equity?
all assets owned by shareholders minus any liabilities owed by the business
What is debt ratio?
Total liabilities/Total assets
What is working capital ratio?
Current assets - current liabilities
What is the debt to equity ratio?
Total Liabilities / Total Shareholder Equity
Public co’s Balance sheet must be prepared in accordance with?
GAAP
Public co’s Financial statements must be filed regularly with
SEC
