Tony Mokbels bail release was a huge problem as he fleeded the country and avoided court by going to Greece. He was on the search for years by police how ever he was not found until a significant amount of time. This is a problem a bail should not have been granted in the first place as he was considered a flight risk as well as previous history avoiding arrest.
The role of his sister was that she agreed to pay the court if Tony Mokbel did not show up which he did not. She failed to make the surety payment and was sentenced prison for two years

Bail was a massive problem as it lead to 6 people dead and 27 people injured in Bourke Street Melbourne in 2017. He recklessly drove a car into pedestrians in melbourne cbd.
James gargosolous was granted bail for a number of offences such as drug activity, criminal activity as well as mental health issues. These should have been considered when granting bail as it lead to multiple murders
