Serve
Underhand stroke diagonal from you
Overhand Clear
Overhand stroked riving the birdie high and deep into the opponent’s court (lobbing it)
Underhand Clear
Underhand stroke driving the birdie high and deep into the opponent’s court (lobbing it)
Drop
A short shot in which just clears the net, and falls close to the net in the opponent’s court (let)
Smash
An overhead stroke in which the birdie travels at a downward angle (spike)
How do you start the game?
Someone from each team calls circle up or down, then someone else spins their racket. Whosoever side it lands gets to choose who serves
In doubles, how often does each teammate get to serve.
They both get to serve each time. An exception is the first serve, where only one person serves
Where do you serve when the score is even?
Right, including 0
Where do you serve when the score is odd?
Left
How often is a point scored
Each round one team earns a point.
If the birdie lands on the line is it in or out?
IN
What is each game played to?
21, must win by 2
Faults: (there are so many)
a. Serve is made above waist level.
b. Serve goes to wrong service box. c. Serve is made when standing in wrong service box. d. Birdie hits the net on the serve. e. Wrong player returns birdie on the serve. f. Birdie lands out of bounds. g. Birdie fails to go over the net. h. Birdie hits the ceiling. i. More than one hit is made on the same side. j. Birdie is returned before it crosses the net. k. A player or racquet touches the net.
If someone commits a fault what happens?
If the serving player makes the fault the service is over, if the other team makes a fault a point goes to the other team.
