backstand Flashcards
1- Reel Holding Shaft
2- Braking Assembly
3- Dance Bar
4- Splice timing eyes
1.A= Holds the film to be through the unwinding system. The inner adjustment knobs hold the film in place and are used to center the film on the reels.
2. A= The braking system uses two brakes pads to control the unwind of the film.
The DRAG pad constantly applies pressure to the spindle y means of a level or a spring creating resistance on the reel shaft. This controls the tension of the film.
The STOP pad is activares when an E-stop and or cycle stop is reseed or the machine waiting for product. The stop pad is operated with an air cylinder.
3. A= The dancer bar is attached to the drag pad on the bake system. When the pressure of the film pull the dancer bar up , the dancer bar leases pressure on the drag pad which releases tension on the film to unwind slightly faster
4-A= The photocells located on the top side of the auto splice table tell the electronic system that the film has ended on the current side when ready properly. Signal electronic waits a predetemined time cribares the auto splice table .
5- Air cylinder
6-Film end photocell
7- Pull Rollers
5- A= Once the signal is reached that the film is ready to splice e electronic system then activates he air cylinder located on the bottom side of the splice table.
6- A= The photocell located on the bottom side of the splice table tells the electrical system when film is not present and sends a signal that fault the machine
7- A= There are two sets of pull rollers. One is located in the rotary section and other before the folding box. These rollers are driven by electrical motor and open o close to small cylinder. The film tension is controles by load cells.
8- Encore
9- Barrels
10- Homing position
11- Proximity switch
8- A= Encoders send a signal to the connected accessory telling it the rate of speed the film is being pulled though the rollers. Ilapak 4 encoders to a connected rotary cutter, labelers, smart data x60, and robot.
9- A= The top barrels has a magnet on it that holds the perf blade in place. The bottom barrel has the anvil. The two barrels are turned by motor located on back side on the rotary. The cylinder located on the top of the rotatory, that lift the top barrel when the cylinders revive signal to perf from the photocell.
10- A= The homing switch tells the electrical system when the rotary cutter is in home position by the proximity switch and the metal strike. When the metal strike is in front f the proximity switch the rotary cutter is in position home.
11- A= The proximity switch ,located on each end of the rotary cutter, tell the electrical system when the rotary cutter is in the down position. When the barrel comes down unlevel the proximity switches then send a signal to the electrical system stopping the machine.
12-Photocell
13- Rotary stop arm
14- Film end at rotary cutter eye
12- A= The photocell send a signal to the electrical system telling it where the print registration is at the time the eye mark is read.
13- A= The rotary stop arm is used to adjust the position of where the die stop on the barrels rotation. The dies should stop at 3 and 9 when the dies stop in any position causa inadecuadas perf and film breakouts.
14- A= The photocell located on the bottom side of the film for rotary cutter tells the electrical system when film is not present and sends a signal that fault the machine out to prevent the film from traveling any farther the machine
15- Film approach arm
16- Film approach roller
17- Folding box
18- Inner guides
15- A= The film approach arm is used to change the position of the arm hat holds the film approach roller. Value is entered “X”
16- A= The film approach roller is used to control the angle that the film enter the folding box free of wrinkles with uniform tension. Value is entered “Y”.
17- A= The folding box shapes the film to wrap around the product. Most folding boxes are fixed or tailor made to product dimensions.
18- A= The inner guides must be of equal distance from the indeed center line without creating a step where the product could catch.
