What gives a BA cylinder its strength?
To give the cylinder the desired mechanical strength and light weight the liner is over-wrapped
with carbon fibre and then a layer of glass fibre is applied over the carbon to enhance the
resistance to abrasion and cut damage.

Cylinders are only to be transported in purpose built boxes/racks and fitted with red protective plastic blank cap.

How must a BA cylinder be carried?
Personnel must only carry one cylinder at a time. They should be carried vertically ensuring that a firm grip is taken around the cylinder neck

How should a cylinder cover be cleaned?
If the cylinder cover requires cleaning, the outside of the cover should be washed using warm water and mild detergent. Stubborn marks can be removed using a nail brush.
