HIGH ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE
Inflight or hover
1. Land as soon as possible
If landing is not possible
- Airspeed - 80 KIAS
If temperature decreases below the redline:
- Land as soon as practicable
If temperature remains above the redline:
- Land as soon as possible
YAW SERVO SLIDE VALVE SEIZURE
(Hover)
If yaw control is maintained:
- Land as soon as possible
If yaw control is not maintained:
- Hydraulic pressure switch (collective) - off
- Land as soon as possible
After landing:
- Collective - lock
- Engine Shutdown - complete
TORQUE METER FAILURE
Ng - maximum continuous -4
VEMD SINGLE SCREEN FAILURE
- Failed screen - off
TAIL ROTOR CONTROL FAILURE
(FIXED PITCH)
- Airspeed - set 70 KIAS/level flight
- HYD test - engage (5 sec)
- Land as soon as practicable - shallow approach/run-on landing
LAND IMMEDIATELY
LAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
LAND AS SOON AS PRACTICABLE
- Land immediately
- Landing at the nearest landing site at which a safe landing can be made.
- Continued flight is not recommended. Landing site and duration of flight are at the discretion of the pilot in command.
TAIL ROTOR DRIVE FAILURE
(In flight)
- Collective - reduce (as required)
- Airspeed - adjust (to minimize left yaw)
- Land as soon as possible
- Autorotate/engine shutdown - min touchdown speed
