How does a biogas generator work?
A
Animal, human or plant waste can be pumped into a biogas generator. It needs to be airtight because it is produced by bacteria undergoing anaerobic respiration. The useful products of this is methane which can be used for cooking, heating and refrigeration and there is also a slurry which can be used as a fertiliser which can be used for growing more plants.

What is the optimum temperature for a biogas generator?
A
30 degrees celsius for the bacteria to work the best way. Biogas generators can be sunk into the ground to provide more insulation.
