Genetic predisposition
An increase in chance of developing a particular disease based on genetic makeup.
Genetic mutation
Permanent alteration in the DNA sequence that make up a gene such that the sequence differs found in most people.
Causes of dominant disorders
Caused by the X chromosome
Predisposed
Someone is more likely to develop a certain health condition because of genes passed down by family.
Susceptability
the standard increased likelihood of developing a certain disease or health condition. Often caused by radiation exposure, lifestyle, factory fumes etc.
Cancer
Abnormal growth of cells.
Aggressive forms of cancer
The cancerous cells spread around the body quickly. This is harder to treat.
