What is DNA ?
A
Deoxyribonucleic acid is the material inside the nucleus of cells, carrying the genetic information of a living being.

A
The structure made of DNA that codes for all the characteristics of an organism

What is a Gene ?
A
A gene is a section of DNA which controls part of a cell’s chemistry (controls the cells charecteristic). Inherited from our parents

Describe stage 1 of cell division (interphase)
A
the cell grows and organelles such as mitochondria and ribosomes double. The DNA also multiplies to form two copies of itself, it is then checked for errors, and further growth occurs.

the nucleus divides inside the cell
