Atoms will covalently bond with other atoms in order to gain more stability, which is gained by forming a full electron shell.

Outline the condensation reactions that form polysaccharides, polypeptides and nucleic acids.

Answer 2

For polysaccharides the Hydroxyl group condensates with a hydrogen in another glucose. In polypeptides the amino group condensates with a carboxyl group. In Nucleic acids the Phosphate group condensates with a hydroxyl group.
