Q

How do the 3 main components maintain steady condition inside the body?

A

Receptors, detect a stimulus level to high/low. Coordination sentres, receives and processes the information, then organises a responce. Effectors, produces a responces which counteracts the change and respored body go optimum level.

Q

How does negative feedback work?

A

When the level or something gets too high or too low your body uses negative feedback to bring it back to normal

Q

How do reflexes work?

A

electrical impulse passes from receptor along sensory neurone to CNS. Goes to relay neurone and back along motor neuron.
Called reflex ark

Q

What are synapses

A

Synapses are the junctions between neurons in which chemicals are transmited to carry on the electrical impulse.

Q

How does the reflex arc work

A

Sensory receptor detects stimulus. Electrical impulse sent across sensory neurone, to the relay neurone. It moves across the motor neurone and to the motor end plate making muslce contracts and withdraws
