  • Apostle Creed: I believe in God, the father almighty, creator of heaven and earth”
  • Bible teaches to pray to God using the phrase “abba” - father (Roman 8:15)
  • Shows the close loving relationship Christians have with God like a parent.

  • God in human form.
  • Jesus was not made by two humans so is free of sin.
  • He was incarnate from the Virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit.

  • To teach people how he wants them to live.
  • To sacrifice himself on the cross and free people from the original sin.
  • To rise from the dead, to show that God is omnipotent.

  • Part of God that is with humans as their constant guide and comforter.
  • The spirit teaches them to live in the way God requires and to help them understand his teachings.
  • It gives them the promise of afterlife in heaven with God.

  • God created the universe by speaking.
  • Shows that God’s omnipotent and demonstrates his purpose.
  • God first created light
  • When creation is complete God describes it as very good - nothing in creation is bad.
  • Humans are created in God’s image
    “Then God said, ‘Let us create mankind in our image, in our likeness.’”

Genesis 3 - The Fall

  • This is known as the original sin - first instance mankind disobeyed God.
  • As a result evil entered the world for the first time.
  • Christians are believed to be born out of relationship with God.
  • Unless the price of the sin is paid there is no hope of eternal life in heaven with God.
