B Cells Flashcards
1
Q
What is the difference between T and B Cells?
A
T cells attack infected cells. They also direct the immune response by helping B lymphocytes to eliminate invading pathogens. B cells create antibodies. B lymphocytes, also called B cells, create a type of protein called an antibody.

Q
What shape are the receptors?
A
Y shape

Q
What are memory B cells?
A
Some B cells differentiate into memory B cells, which are long-lived cells that “remember” previous encounters with specific antigens. If the same antigen is encountered again in the future, memory B cells can quickly mount a faster and more robust immune response.
