What is a Virtual Network (Vnet)?
A
A Network that connects virtual machines and devices, no matter their location, using software.

How does a Virtual Network work?
A
Virtual networks form their connections through the internet. Virtual network servers create a network that has no physical connection, but one that allows file sharing and communication. Some organizations use virtual networks to enable users at home to connect to the organization’s data and facilities.

What are the characteristics of a Vnet?
A
VNets are scoped to a single region, cannot span multiple regions, are Scoped to a single subscription, can be connected via peering, Segmented using subnets, protected using NSG (on subnets)
