General Supervision
the supervising PT is ON CALL & READILY AVAILABLE via telecommunications
On site supervision
the supervising PT is ON SITE & PRESENT IN THE FACILITY
Manual Therapy Techniques
passive interventions – modulate pain, increase ROM, dec. soft tissue inflammation or restriction, improve contractile/noncontractile tissue extensibility, & improve pulmonary fxn
Assistive Personnel
= PTAs, PT Aides, and other assistive personnel, trained/educated health care providers and who are not PTs but perform specific designated tasks under PT supervision
Assistive Personnel if properly credentialed:
also applies to; other AP may be identified by the title specific to their training/education
Assistive Personnel does NOT apply to personnel
assisting other health care in the performance of delegable treatment responsibilities within their scope of practice
Business Entity
a business with ownership that includes any persons NOT a licensed PT, offers to the public professional services board regulated & is established pursuant to the laws of any state or foreign country
Interim Permit
allows a person to practice as a PT/PTA in AZ for a specific period of time & under conditions prescribed by the board before they are issued a license
On Call
a supervising PT is able to go to location on the same day that a PTA provides intervention if the PT, after consulting with the PTA, determines that going is in the best interest of the patient
Readily Available
means a supervising PT is able to respond within 15 minutes to a communication from a PTA providing selected treatment intervention under general supervision

Credential Evaluation
assessment of a foreign educated applicant’s education course work
Dry Needling
performed by a PT, using thin filiform needled to stimulate neural, muscular, & CT
Compliance Period
two-year license renewal cycle that ends August 31 of even-numbered years

licensees/interim permit holders + place of practice, license #, status & expiration date
