What is the AWS well-architected tool? How does it work?
A tool that you can use to review your architecture against the 6 pillars.
You essentially take a quiz on your architecture and then get recommendations, documentation, videos etc. on how to improve it
What are the 2 umbrellas for the perspectives of the Cloud Adoption Framework?
Business and technical
What 3 perspectives are in the business umbrella of the CAF?
Business, people and governance
What the 4 transformation domains for a cloud transformation? What does this mean?
Simply means 4 areas where we want to improve on an existing setup through the use of cloud technologies.
The 4 areas themselves are:
1. Technology
2. Process
3. Organisation
4. Product
What 3 perspectives are within the technical umbrella of the CAF?
Platform, security and operations
What umbrella is the governance perspective under according to CAF?
Business.
The governance perspective is the idea that you are maximising the benefits of the cloud and minimising the risks associated with it.
What are the 4 stages of a cloud transformation? Explain each as shortly as possible?
- “Envision” - Identify how the cloud can add to your business
- “Align” - Look at the 6 CAF perspectives and identify where there gaps where using the cloud can help
- “Launch” - Build and deliver some of the improvements in the production and demonstrate the potential value add
- “Scale” - Expand the small scale improvements to desired size
Which CAF perspective is described as “the bridge between technology and business”?
People - the idea that you are training the workforce to be open to the continuous improvement and adoption of the cloud
What is the process of right sizing?
The process of changing the size of EC2 instance types to better fit the requirements of the client. Literally, making sure your instances are the ‘right size’

Basically StackOverflow but AWS’ own.
Free to use.
Not ideal for answering questions that have a strong time limitation.
