3 possible signs and symptoms of Hypoxia.
Confused

Visible head wound or bruising

How would you treat a head injury ?
Lie them down with a shoulders slightly raised with a pillow.
Administer PO and call Medlink
Use universal precautions and control and bleeding. Loosen tight clothing.
Monitor Pulse and record breathing every 10mins . Complete and IIOR.
What is a stroke ?
A sudden lack of blood supply to the brain due to a bleed or a blood clot.
How would you know if someone is having a stroke ?
FAST
Face
Arms
Speech
Time
What is a TIA?
Symptoms of a stroke but that only last a short time. This could be pre warnings of something happening and medical advice should be seeked.
If someone is having stroke, what must you not give them ?
Good or water.. they are nil by mouth
In AVmed what is a the age of a child ?

How often should you change the position of someone in the recovery position
Every 30 mins
What side should you always put a pregnant lady in the recovery position ?

What is an ODE?
A meeting in the flight deck to assist with making the decision on a medical event. The call includes the FSM/ commander/APIC Medlink & OCC
